“Zebra” cake with chocolate icing
For the cake will be needed:
4 eggs,
200g sugar,
200 g butter at room temperature,
240ml milk,
2 vanillias,
375 g flour that inflates on its own,
1 pinch of salt
For the chocolate stripes
3 tablespoons cocoa (25g),
50ml fresh milk,
1 tablespoon sugar,
For the glaze
60ml fresh milk
2 tablespoons honey,
120 gr couverture,
1 tablespoon of butter.
Implementation:
We measure our materials and we have everything in front of us to get started! Butter a 24 cm round pan and preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Put all the solid ingredients of the cake (not the chocolate) in a stainless steel bowl. Beat the cocoa, sugar and milk in another bowl. In the bowl of the mixer, beat the sugar with the butter and add the eggs one by one until they are incorporated into the mixture.
Finally add the vanilla
Reduce the heat to low and add the flour little by little, alternating it with the milk until all the ingredients are combined into a uniform porridge.
Remove two cups from the mixture and mix it in the bowl with the cocoa with mariz
With a ladle we start to fill the pan from the center to the walls.
Pour a spoonful of white mixture and an equal amount of chocolate mixture on top.
Continue until the mixture from both bowls is finished
Bake in the middle of the oven for about 50 minutes. Dip a toothpick in the center of the cake and if it comes out clean, our cake is ready
Remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes on a drain grill
At the same time we prepare our icing in a saucepan.
Put the honey, milk, butter and couverture on a low temperature until smooth, leave it to cool and then glaze the cake that has cooled in the meantime.
Our wonderful cake is ready!
